Grandma'S Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon, chopped
    2 onions, sliced
    1 lb. green beans
    salt and pepper
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Saute bacon and onions in large saucepan until bacon is crisp. Add beans; season with salt and pepper.
    Cover with water.
    Cover pot and simmer for 2 hours.
    Add sugar and simmer 20 more minutes.
