Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef (round or sirloin tip), cut into 2 x 1/4-inch strips
    1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 green peppers, cut into strips
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    sprinkle of garlic powder
Preparation
    Add beef to melted butter in a skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder and cook, stirring slightly, until browned.
    Remove meat; add onion and green pepper.
    Saute for 2 minutes.
    Return meat to skillet along with tomatoes and bouillon cube, simmer about 5 minutes.
    Blend together cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar and salt.
    Stir into meat mixture and cook just until thickened.
    Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
