Easy And Elegant Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
2 lb. beef round steak, cut into strips
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can water
3/4 c. red wine or beef broth
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 large green pepper, cut in strips
2 medium onions, sliced
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
cooked rice
Preparation

In a large skillet, heat oil on high.
Brown meat on all sides. Drain any excess oil.
Combine soup, water and wine or broth.
Pour over steak.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Meanwhile, toss all remaining ingredients together and place on top of steak. Cover and continue to simmer until the meat is tender, about 1 hour.
Serve with rice.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
