Pepper-Onion Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. chopped red peppers (16)
    2 qt. chopped green peppers (16)
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. mixed pickling spices
    1 hot pepper
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt (not iodized)
Preparation
    Combine vegetables and cover with boiling water.
    Let stand 5 minutes; drain.
    Cover again with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes; drain.
