Apple-Cinnamon Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour, divided
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 c. peeled and sliced cooking apples (about 1 lb.)
Preparation

In medium bowl, combine 2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese and margarine; gradually beat in 1 cup sugar and almond extract. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add dry ingredients alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Spread batter evenly into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
In medium bowl, combine remaining flour, remaining sugar and cinnamon; gently toss with apple slices to coat well.
Arrange on top of batter.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven 50 to 55 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves warm.
