Homemade Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. vegetable shortening
    pinch of baking powder
    3/4 to 1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix well.
    Turn out on floured board; knead a few times. Pinch off or roll and cut.
    Place on greased iron baker.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
