Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. onions, chopped
    1/4 c. green peppers, chopped
    1 box frozen tiny peas, broken apart
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1 c. salad dressing (i.e. Miracle Whip)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    7 slices bacon or 1/2 c. Bac*Os
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Half fill a 9 x 13-inch pan with lettuce. Layer the next four ingredients.
    Combine the next four ingredients and pour over the greens.
    Sprinkle bacon on the top.
    Then sprinkle with cheese. Cover dish with foil and chill overnight or at least 8 hours.
    Do not toss.
