Klejner(Kly-Ner) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    5 Tbsp. whipped cream
    2 Tbsp. almond flavoring or brandy
    4 1/3 c. flour (one cup at a time)
Preparation
    Work dough until it can be gathered into a ball.
    Refrigerate 1 hour on lightly floured board.
    Roll out 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut diagonal to form diamonds 3-inches long.
    Cut 3/4-inch slash in center.
    Pull one tip through to form 1/2 knot.
    Fry until lightly browned in fat; don't crowd at 375\u00b0.
    Drain on paper.
    Makes 100 to 120.
