Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce, bite size
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 c. mayonnaise
    grated cheese
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 pkg. frozen English peas, uncooked
    3 hard-boiled eggs
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer in a large salad bowl or clear glass dish; one inch bed of lettuce, the celery and green pepper, the thawed, drained and uncooked peas.
    Spread with mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip) and top with grated boiled eggs and crisp-fried bacon (crumbled).
    Prepare salad at least 6 hours in advance and chill.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
    Mushroom and onion are also good in this salad.
