Manicotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. minced onion
    3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    3 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    3 c. water
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 tsp. Italian seasoning
    16 to 18 manicotti shells
    4 c. cottage cheese
    2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Saute meat and onions; drain fat.
    Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar and Italian seasoning.
    Simmer 15 minutes. Fill dry manicotti shells with mixture of 3 cheeses.
    (Use narrow teaspoon to push cheese mixture into end of shell until filled.) Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan with sauce.
    Place filled shells next to each other and cover with remaining sauce.
    Cover pan tightly with heavy-duty foil.
    Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
