Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. bourbon
1 1/2 c. brewed coffee
5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
Combine bourbon with hot coffee.
Melt chocolate in this mixture.
Add sugar and salt.
Combine flour, baking soda and powder and gradually beat into chocolate mixture. Do not overbeat.
Lightly mix eggs and vanilla into batter.
Pour into a buttered and floured tube pan and bake at 275\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 hours.
The cake is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
May frost if desired.
