Creamed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. water
    1 to 1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen peas
    2 c. finely torn leaf lettuce
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/3 c. light cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Heat butter and water to boiling; add remaining ingredients except cream.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer until peas are tender, 8 to 15 minutes.
    Don't drain.
    Add cream. Serves 4.
