Bessie'S Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. sliced cucumbers
    2 c. pickling lime
    2 gal. water
    8 c. distilled white vinegar (4 to 6% acidity)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in water and lime.
    Mix in crock or plastic container 12 hours or overnight.
    Wash 3 times until water is clean.
    Soak in fresh ice water for 3 hours.
