Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash (frozen may be used or combined zucchini and yellow squash)
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
    1 small can chili peppers (optional)
    1 egg, beaten
    1 onion, chopped
    butter
    cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Cook squash, ground pepper and onion 10 minutes. Drain.
    Mix egg, mayonnaise, cheese and chili peppers. Add to squash mixture. Place in casserole dish. Dot with butter and top with cracker crumbs. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
