Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round or flank steak
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 green pepper
    3 Tbsp. oil or Crisco
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 stalk celery, diced
    2 c. cooked tomatoes
Preparation
    Cut meat in serving pieces.
    Combine flour, salt and pepper. Lay meat on bread board.
    Pound flour mixture into meat with the edge of saucer or meat mallet.
    Add meat to hot oil and brown well, turn as necessary.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring liquid to boil.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Serve over rice.
