Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 c. nuts (black or English walnuts)
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream the butter. Add sugar, beaten eggs and sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well. Form dough into 3 rolls. Chill for 4 hours.
    Cut in 1/4-inch slices and bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 until light brown.
