Christmas Morning Italian Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
    1 (12 oz.) loaf French bread
    2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
    6 large eggs
    1 qt. milk
    2 tsp. Italian seasonings
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    chopped parsley for garnish
Preparation
    Night Before Serving:
    Grease a 13 x 9-inch glass baking pan. In a 10-inch skillet, over medium heat, cook sausage, stirring frequently to break up meat, until done.
    Drain on paper towels. Cut French bread into 1/2-inch cubes.
    Drain and chop mushrooms. In a baking dish, combine sausage, bread cubes and mushrooms.
    In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Italian seasonings, garlic powder and pepper.
    Pour egg mixture over sausage mixture.
    Cover with wrap and refrigerate overnight.
