West Virginia Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    3 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar, yeast and shortening.
    Mix in flour to make a workable dough.
    Turn out on floured surface and roll to biscuit height, about 1/2 inch.
    Cut out biscuits and place on greased sheet.
    Let rise for 1 hour in warm place.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
