Scuppernong Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. scuppernongs with juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 egg or 2 beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Stir all ingredients together in a saucepan and cook over low heat until well blended.
    Remove from heat and let cool while you prepare pie shell.
    Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and cover with unbaked pie crust either completely or with lattice.
    Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for approximately 10 minutes, until slightly brown.
    Turn down to 325\u00b0 and continue 30 minutes or until firm and golden.
