Mrs. Johnson'S Lima Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms or 4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
6 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1/4 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Cook lima beans until tender.
Drain and set aside.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter or margarine in a saucepan and saute the mushrooms for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle mushrooms with 6 tablespoons flour, then slowly add the milk.
Stir and cook until sauce thickens and is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
Add the salt, pepper and chili powder.
Mix well.
Add the cooked lima beans and reheat.
Serve piping hot.
