Mashed Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. baking potatoes
    8 oz. cream cheese
    8 oz. sour cream
    2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    butter
Preparation
    Peel and cook 5 pounds of
    baking potatoes until tender, about 40 minutes.
    Drain, then mash well.
    Beat together cream cheese and sour cream; gradually beat into mashed potatoes until smooth. Beat in garlic salt and pepper. Turn mixture into a buttered, shallow 3 to 4 quart casserole.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover and chill up to three days.
    To reheat, bring to room temperature. Cover and bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Serves 12 to 15.
