Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo
1/2 c. water
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Boil sugar, Karo and water until it spins a long thread or hard ball stage.
Add salt and peanuts.
Cook until golden brown, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add quickly butter, vanilla and soda.
Beat well.
Pour into buttered shallow cookie sheet.
When cold, break into pieces.
