Mrs. Gill'S Congo Bars(Makes 4 Dozen) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. margarine
1 lb. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 c. walnuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Melt margarine in saucepan and stir in the brown sugar.
Mix well.
Let cool, then gradually beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add flour mixture, nuts, chocolate and vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour into greased 10 x 12-inch baking pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Cool and cut into bars.
