Fruit Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. each: cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. English walnuts
1 c. diced dates
1 small jar maraschino cherries (save out 14 to decorate)
1 1/2 c. applesauce

Preparation

In large bowl, mix all ingredients, but applesauce and soda, to heat in saucepan. Stir warm into fruit mixture.
Pour into loaf pans. Decorate with cherries. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Let cool in pan.
