Salisbury Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    3/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 can golden mushroom soup
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine first five ingredients. Add beef and mix well.
    Shape into 10 oblong patties. Brown on both sides. Drain.
    Add mushroom soup and water.
    Cook slowly until done.
