Buttermilk Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar, granulated
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. pecan halves
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, baking soda and buttermilk to the soft-ball stage, stirring constantly while cooking.
    Remove from fire and add butter, pecans halves and vanilla.
    Beat until stiff enough to hold shape when dropped from a teaspoon onto waxed paper.
