Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    1 baked (9-inch) pastry shell
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Wash, drain and hull strawberries.
    Cut in half.
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Gradually add water mixing until smooth.
    Add 1/2 of the strawberries.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
    Cover and continue cooking 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Fold in remaining strawberries.
    Pour into pastry shell and chill.
    Serve topped with sweetened whipped cream.
