Buttermilk Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar and flour.
    Slowly stir in buttermilk. Cook in double boiler until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly.
    Add beaten egg yolks; cook 2 minutes more.
    Blend in lemon juice, peel and butter.
    Pour into pie shell.
