Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. brown sugar
    7 lb. peaches, peeled and cut into halves
    1 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar and spices and bring to a boil.
    Add peaches and cook until tender.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
    To heat jars, place in boiling water.
