Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    5 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 c. black walnuts
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. walnut flavoring
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Alternate milk and flour with shortening and sugar mixture.
    Add eggs.
    Flour 1 cup chopped black walnuts.
    Pour into pan and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 300\u00b0.
