Frozen Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    juice of 1 orange
    juice of 1 lemon
    pinch of salt
    3 egg whites
    12 vanilla or orange wafers, crushed
    whipped cream (optional)
    cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Combine egg yolks, sugar, fruit juice and salt in top of double boiler. Cook over boiling water until thick. Cool.
    Add 3 stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold in 1 cup cream (whipped).
    Spread half of the cookie crumbs in bottom of an 8 or 9-inch pan.
    Pour in pudding mixture. Spread remaining crumbs on top.
    Freeze.
    To serve, cut in squares. Garnish with additional whipped cream and cherry.
