Mrs. Polly'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. light Karo
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Measure 1/2
    cup
    sugar
    and
    1/4
    cup\twater
    in small boiler.
    In
    large boiler, measure 3 cups sugar, 1/2 cup water and Karo.
    While
    both\tmixtures
    cook,
    beat egg whites until stiff. When
    mixture
    in small boiler forms hard ball in cold water, pour slowly, beating at the same time, into egg whites. Add vanilla. When
    mixture in large boiler forms soft ball in water, pour
    into other mixture and stir until firm.
    Beat in pecans.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
