Date Balls Or Logs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter or oleo
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. chopped dates
    3 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. chopped nuts
    fine coconut
Preparation
    In a heavy kettle over low heat, melt butter.
    Add sugar, dates and eggs.
    Cook 3 or 4 minutes, stirring constantly. (Scorches easily.)
    Remove from stove and add 3 cups Rice Krispies and nuts, walnuts, pecans, etc.
    Mix well.
    When cool enough to handle, form into balls or logs and roll in fine coconut.
