Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes
    1 medium onion
    1 garlic clove or garlic salt
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 stick butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 c. milk
    Cheddar cheese, chives or bacon bits (for garnish if desired)
Preparation
    On low heat, cook potatoes, onion, garlic and salt and pepper with just enough water to cover; cook until done. Add butter, soups, cream cheese and milk to potatoes. Cook on low heat until thick. Garnish with shredded cheese, bacon bits or chives if desired and serve.
