Artillery Punch(Shared By Dr. R. B. Congleton) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    juice of 6 lemons
    2 Tbsp. bitters
    1 qt. Claret
    1 qt. sherry (20%)
    1 qt. bourbon (86 or 90 proof)
    1 qt. brandy
Preparation
    Mix well and put in refrigerator.
    When ready to serve, pour over ice and add 1 quart club soda.
    This makes a 45 proof drink and will serve 30 people, 2 drinks each.
    Watch out.
