Meringue Surprises(Lo-Fat Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. mint chocolate chips
    green or other food coloring, as desired
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Beat egg whites until a little foamy.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Beat well.
    Gradually add in sugar.
    Beat well.
    Add food coloring, as desired.
    Fold in one package mint chocolate chips.
    Drop by small spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Turn off the oven just before putting cookies in.
    Leave in cooled oven overnight or at least 5 to 8 hours.

    Makes 2 dozen.
