Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites, beaten into a meringue
    1/2 c. sugar
    small pound cake
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until they become stiff. Add sugar, beating well.
    Cut cake and ice cream in thick slices.
    Stack alternately on pan.
    Cover well with thick meringue, making sure to cover the sides well.
    Bake at 400\u00b0.
    This is a good dish to fix for your grandchildren.
