Karen Sherman'S Open-Faced Quesadillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 flour tortillas (8 to 10 inches)
    3 c. grated mild Cheddar cheese (medium if you prefer)
    1/2 green bell pepper, chopped, or 1 Tbsp. chopped mild green chilies from your local store's Mexican food section
    1 c. diced tomatoes, drained
    salt (optional but highly recommended)
Preparation
    Use a 9 x 13-inch glass baking pan for this recipe.
    Add the ingredients in layers, using half the ingredients in each layer.
