Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. boiling water
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. milk
2 large eggs, well beaten
7 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
shortening or oil
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Combine boiling water, shortening and sugar in large bowl; stir in 1 cup milk.
Add eggs and yeast; mix well.
Add flour; mix well until smooth.
Place in greased bowl; cover.
Chill for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
