Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 bay leaf
    2 c. cottage cheese or Ricotta cheese
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 c. celery, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 (No. 303) cans tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
Preparation
    Saute celery, onion and garlic in shortening.
    Add beef and brown until crumbly, but not hard.
    Pour off drippings.
    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, cayenne pepper, oregano and bay leaf. Cover and cook slowly 20 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
