Ingredients

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 heaping Tbsp. jelly (any flavor)
1 lb. pecans
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 tsp. each allspice, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 lb. white raisins
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar, jelly and eggs.
Dissolve soda in milk and add to mixture.
Sift half the flour and all of the spices, then add to butter mixture.
Use remaining flour to dredge all of the fruit and nuts.
Then add to butter mixture.
Stir well and drop small spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
(Batter will appear dry.)
Cook at 300\u00b0
about 15 minutes.
Cookies ripen with age.
