Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    round steak
    4 medium onions
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3/4 c. stewed tomatoes
    3/4 c. water
    1 green pepper
    1 yellow pepper
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper; run into both sides of steak. Preheat skillet; add half of shortening, then add onions (sliced). Brown lightly and remove from skillet.
    Add remaining shortening. Brown steak on both sides.
    Reduce heat, add carrots, celery, garlic, tomatoes and water.
    Cover, simmer 1 hour.
    Cut pepper into slices.
    Add onions and pepper to meat.
    Cook 30 minutes.
