Sweet And Sour Ham Balls(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe

1 beaten egg
1 c. bran flakes cereal
1/3 c. skim milk
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 lb. ground turkey
1/2 lb. turkey ham, ground
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks in own juice
1 c. thinly sliced carrots
1/2 c. chicken broth
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. pea pods
rice or noodles
Preparation

In mixing bowl, combine egg, bran flakes, milk and ginger.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Add meat and mix.
Shape into meatballs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, uncovered; drain.
In saucepan, drain pineapple, reserving juice.
Set both aside.
In a large saucepan, cook carrots in broth, covered, for 5 minutes or until just tender. Do not drain.
Combine vinegar, cornstarch, honey and soy sauce. Stir into carrot mixture.
Stir in reserved pineapple juice.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in pea pods and cook 2 minutes more.
Stir in pineapple; heat through.
Stir in meatballs. Serve over rice or noodles.
Makes 6 servings.
