Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sirloin, cut in 1/4-inch strips
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. plain flour
4 Tbsp. butter
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. catsup
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
1 c. sour cream
cooked rice or noodles
Preparation

Dredge meat in mixture of salt and 1 tablespoon flour.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a hot skillet.
Add meat and quickly brown on all sides.
Add mushrooms and onion.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until onion is barely tender.
Transfer skillet contents to a bowl and keep warm.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to pan drippings. Blend in 3 tablespoons of flour and catsup.
Slowly add beef broth.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Return meat to pan and stir in sour cream.
Heat briefly.
Serve over rice or noodles.
Serves 4.
