Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops, 3/4 to 1 inch thick
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 bouillon cube
    1 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 can pineapple chunks
    6 green pepper rings
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Brown chops on both sides.
    Add bouillon cube, boiling water, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple and syrup, peppers and onions. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Remove chops to heated platter.
    Combine cornstarch and water; stir in liquid, cook stirring constantly until mixture is thick and clear.
    Serve over chops.
