Tasty Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    11/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
    1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix (2 Tbsp.)
Preparation
    Let butter and cheese come to room temperature.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add remaining ingredients and blend.
    Shape into two or three rolls of 1-inch diameter.
    Wrap in waxed paper.
    Chill. Slice roll into 1/4-inch thick slices and bake on ungreased sheet 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Sprinkle with paprika if desired.
