Divinity Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
2 egg whites, beaten
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Mix sugar and water to make syrup.
Add syrup with confectioners sugar; cook until stringy.
Add egg whites, vanilla and walnuts.
Cool in double boiler with cold water.
Stir until stiff.
Spoon out on waxed paper.
Can add food coloring to vary colors of candy.
