Barley Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion
1 stalk celery
1/2 c. hot water
3 c. tomato juice
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. barley
Preparation
-
Brown ground beef, onion and celery in a Dutch oven.
Add tomato juice, water, spices and barley.
Cook over low heat for one hour.
