Rice Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1 small onion
    1 egg, boiled
    2 celery stalks or 1 bell pepper
    1/2 c. whole kernel corn
    grated cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Cook rice and set aside; chop onion, celery and boiled egg. Rinse rice in cold water and drain; drain corn.
    Mix rice, onion, celery or pepper, mayonnaise and corn (salt and pepper to taste and garlic powder; if you use garlic salt, do not use other salt). Sprinkle top with grated cheese and put in refrigerator until ready to eat.
