Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    vanilla filling
    26 Hershey's Kisses, pecan halves or candied cherry halves
Preparation
    In small mixer bowl beat butter, sugar, egg yolk, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    Stir together flour, cocoa and salt.
    Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Refrigerate dough until firm enough to handle.
